Questions, answered

How does Truffle see my spending?+

You connect your bank or credit card securely through Plaid. You type your bank login only inside Plaid — never in Truffle. Truffle then reads your transactions and picks out restaurant and delivery purchases.

Does Truffle sell my data?+

No. Truffle uses your transactions only to show you your own eating-out spending. We never sell data, share it for advertising, or use it for credit decisions.

Do I have to stop eating out?+

Not at all. Truffle is about eating out on purpose. You pick a daily number you're comfortable with and Truffle helps you stay close to it — the fun stays.

What's the piggy bank for?+

Your piggy reflects how your budget is going. Stay under your daily number and he's happy and plump. Overspend and he'll let you know — gently.

Can I disconnect my bank?+

Yes, anytime in the app. When you disconnect, we remove the Plaid connection and delete the associated transaction data.

Is Truffle available on Android?+

Truffle is iOS-only for now, available on iPhone through the App Store.
